Former girls' varsity softball volunteer arrested on charges of statutory rape

On Friday, August 7, school officials at Niskayuna Central School District were notified by the Niskayuna Police Department that Joseph Annello was arrested and charged with statutory rape; endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a minor.

The school district hesard rumours about this for months and did nothing. Many paorents voiced concern and this poor girl payed the price. Niskayuna will always bury any problems, they are so arrogant

interesting that at least 2 youth organizations and a prominent school district failed to follow up on background info or maybe they did and there was nothing to report

This isn't the first time that a Niskayuna Coach has been charged with something like this. Maybe the school district should do mandatory background checks on all Sports leaders in Nisky, this seems to be a growing trend.

Remember not to only blame the school district for possible cover-ups, for years parents in the community have had no problem financially backing the district despite everything that is going on.

Maybe its time that the parents of this school district start paying more attention to these kids.
