Wells approved in Fallon and Richland counties

In Fallon County's Lookout Butte Oil Field, Denbury Onshore LLC has been approved to drill the Unit 12-15, with a surface hole location at SW NW 15-6N-60E and a proposed depth of 9,000 feet.

Whiting Oil OK'd for two wells

In Fallon County's Pine Field, Denbury Onshore LLC was issued a permit for the South Pine Unit 41X-26A. The well has a surface hole location at NE NE 26-11N-57E . The Pine Field is situated along the Central Cedar Creek Anticline, on the southwest flank of Williston Basin, according to one 1985 report by the Montana Geological Society.
