Tabor City businessman plans run for District 46 House seat
Brenden Jones, a Republican businessman from Tabor City, has announced that he is running for the N.C. House of Representatives seat representing District 46. The district includes all of Columbus County and portions of Bladen and Robeson counties.

Arrest in shooting death
An arrest was made today in the shooting death of a 36-year-old St. Pauls man, according to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
Rowland's own Vonta Leach, as has become his Christmas tradition, took time this week away from his work in leading the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens back to the NFL playoffs to return to his native Robeson County, where he put smiles on the faces of dozens of local children.
