Manhattan woman held in death of 70-year-old man

A Manhattan woman has been arrested in the shooting death of a 70-year-old man.The Riley County Police Department said in a news release that the woman is being held on $150,000 bond.She is suspected in the death of Robert Potter of Manhattan.Authorities found him dead Friday night while responding to a report that someone had been shot.

Murder in Manhattan Friday night

Riley County Police have a woman in custody on second degree murder charges. RCPD Police Captain Jeff Hooper tells KMAN that Friday night at 7:19 a call came into 911 of an individual who had been shot at 1840 Plymouth Road in Manhattan.

Man charged with capital murder

Attorney General Steve Six announced Monday that 22-year-old Luis Antonio Aguirre had been charged with capital murder in Riley County in the slayings of an 18-year-old woman and her son, whom authorities think was 13 months old when he died.
