1:23 teacher-student ratio makes Rhea County 3rd worst in Tennessee

" Graduation rate at RCHS exceptional ". This was one of the multi-story front pagers printed in the county advertising circular disguised as a newspaper printed for it’s “13,700” claimed circulation, which makes me want to stop typing and write another story of fraud, racketeering, the ABC and jail. But I guess for the moment, that will have to wait.

Back in Black: AC/DC or the Police

Law enforcement is a profession of trends and traditions. I suppose you think I am about to start a slam session on these "traditions" but nope, I'm actually glad to see the more identifiable black and white. I don't agree with the reason for the black and white color change at such a major taxpayer expense painting city police cars black and white just so the car doesn't look "like a sheriff department car". That sounds almost stupid.

Former IRS Agent Sherry Peel Jackson convicted of failing to pay taxes.

Sherry Peel Jackson, a former IRS revenue agent and certified public accountant, told a federal jury Tuesday she was sure she did not have to file income tax returns. But after less than 30 minutes of deliberations, the jury convicted Jackson of failing to file income tax returns for four years, despite the alleged fact that no such law mandating the payment of income tax even exists.
