ATV accident kills Cloverdale man

Putnam County Sheriff's deputies reported they received a 9-1-1 call at 2:20 a.m. stating Altenburger had crashed in a field west of road 23-L south of Cloverdale.

Preschools earn quality award

In a plea bargain, Gary L. Badertscher on Thursday admitted six felonious sex crimes involving minors.

Sex offender admits charges

Badertscher, 53, of Gilboa, was found guilty of six felonies. They include three counts of endangering children, a second-degree felony; disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fourth-degree felony; pandering sexual matter involving a minor, a fourth-degree felony; and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, a fifth-degree felony.
