Suspected counterfeiters nabbed in Putnam Co.

On September 12 at approximately 5:06 p.m., the Delphos Police Department, with assistance from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant on a residence in Putnam County. The search warrant was part of an investigation into counterfeit money being made and used in and around the tri-county area.

Wolf? Dog? Animal shot dead near Leipsic

The Leipsic Police Department sent out an alert last night that said the animal, possibly a wolf, was killed.

Monroe bank shows improvement

Monroe Bank and Trust continues to show signs it has fully turned the corner from a recession-fueled rough patch, with BauerFinancial Inc. again upgrading its ranking of the bank. In its most recent report, Florida-based Bauer gave Monroe Bank and Trust a rating of 3½ stars, up from its previous ranking of three stars.
