I particularly like to refer to this when describing the US’s addictions, even those so heinous. It is dramatic, but straight to the point. And with that said, do you think there would be trafficking of any kind if people in the US were not buying it?

This is pretty sad that some people try to find an excuse for their mistake, but like one of you mention if US citizens wouldnt buy drugs then there wouldnt be no trafficking. Just put yourself in this kid's parents shoes and think if you will still glorify Marines unconditionally even after they have killed your son/daughter when he/she just wanted to make a future by herding goats to make a cheese company and help the economy and maybe even create a couple of jobs for our people who desperately need it.
Go ahead just give your complete trust to the goverment and keep thinking all they do is perfect and they have never done wrong. The military was created to answer to civilians not they other way around. Read the constitution.

I believe the article went into great detail about that towards the end. Did you read it all the way to the end or only get so far to say AHA? Building a wall is an excellent way to help stop the flow of drugs from Mexico. It also goes a long way to end the violence at the border. I'm not stupid enough to think the cartels are going to bow out completely, though. They'll find a way to circumvent any border wall, but it will sure as hell cut down on human trafficking. No more illegals to be the drug mules. They'd have one hell of a time coming through Customs at the airport with 500 lbs. of pot strapped to their backs, wouldn't they?
