An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal weapons charge after Potter County deputies found more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine in his rental car during an April Interstate 40 traffic stop.

Petitions ask to remove Potter County alcohol sales restrictions

Nancy Tanner creates judicial transition team
The apparent next Potter County judge announced Friday she has formed a transition team to smooth and speed her move into the office Jan. 1. Nancy Tanner, who won the Republican primary and doesn't face a Democrat in the Nov. 4 election, said she wants to start leading as soon as she takes office, so she appointed seven people to the team.
