At least 1 dead in two-semi wreck, fire
At least one person was killed Friday night in a wreck that left two tractor-trailers smoldering on the Interstate 40 center median near Bushland, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers said.

Petitions ask to remove Potter County alcohol sales restrictions

Nancy Tanner creates judicial transition team
The apparent next Potter County judge announced Friday she has formed a transition team to smooth and speed her move into the office Jan. 1. Nancy Tanner, who won the Republican primary and doesn't face a Democrat in the Nov. 4 election, said she wants to start leading as soon as she takes office, so she appointed seven people to the team.
