Hidden Valley is a community located just SW of the city of Maricopa, while we have a large area of land, some of which containes large Saguaro cactus, and Desert trees, with views of the city lights, our beauty is largely overlooked. I say this because much of this area still does not have even paved roads, or access to water, other than by hauling it yourself. Access to stores is almost non existant, other than a few mom and pop operations, with high prices and very limited selection. The drive to Home Depot or Loews is 60 miles roundtrip, depending on where you live in Hidden Valley. Despite all of this some have seen the light, building custom homes, a few in excess of 1 million dollars on very senic acreage. Recently a small commercial zoning change has passed the appropriate govt agency, but given the size of Hidden Valley, if and when they build this will not be near enough to accomodate our needs, A golf course and several home subdivisions were proposed, but have been put on hold, and nothing is even available to inform anyone of any progress, much to my chagrin, concerned citizen of Hidden Valley Az (Tom) writes to anyone that will listen.
