Pike County grand jury indicts former police chief, girlfriend

Petersburg has had a BAD reputation for as long as I can remember and I am in my 40's. I just want everyone to know that this type of stuff goes on EVERYWHERE anymore. Many think that Pike CO. is the epicenter for meth labs and drug misuse. WRONG. Do some investigating. It is pretty much everywhere and there are counties that have a much worse problem with it than Pike Co., Indiana. I live here and I can give you some positive aspects for Pike County: All Pike County schools are QUICKLY gaining ground in the education department. Our ISTEP testing scores exceed those in surrounding counties; our graduation rates exceed those in surrounding counties; we have received many state-wide honors in the past few years, just go to www. pscs.k12.in.us. This is the Pike Co. School Corporation webpage. I am not going to name all of them, because there are several! So to everytone in immediate counties surrounding Pike Co., I invite you to to look these facts up. You can call us "pikers" if you want, but our schools in my opinion outrank yours and I wouldn't want my kids going to any other surroundin county schools, period. We have an EXCELLENT administrative and teaching staff. I also like living here. People are friendly, not snobby about NOTHING. I don't understand those in surrounding counties that look down on us and their crime rates, schools, etc. are not as good as ours! And yeah, lots of "pikers" have nice homes, go out to eat in nice restaurants, drive nice cars and our kids do too, just go out and look in the parking lot at PC and you'll see what I mean (not that it matters to me, but it seems to matter to those in surrounding counties). We have beautiful schools with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at PC that many do not have in surrounding counties and they come HERE to utilize them then have the nerve to ridicule Pike Co? Wake up surrounding counties!!!

Wow that does not surprise me at all. She could have just got a local hookup from a doctor and it would have all be ok. I am so glad this happened so everyone knows there are good cops and bad cops. I agree this kind of thing goes on all over the U.S. and World. It's about time the bad cop got busted and along with his gf!!!
