Ever since I was a little bitty thing I have loved coal. I played in it when I was a baby. Climbed right up on top of the biggest pile I could find and I used to throw it at my brother. When I got older I collected pieces of coal and decorated my room with it. I even had a shelf built around the top of the wall to display it. I had a quilt made with blocks of coal squares with yellow borders. I never have told nobody but I sleep with a block of coal every night. Black Gold fever I have got. People didn't used to like me because they didn't realize that coal keeps light on. They thought all that light came from AEP. Buddy was they fooled. Now every body likes me because they know I was right all along. Kentucky coal is shipped to China now too and we keep their light on. My cousin went over there to China one time and he said you could see the coal dust in the air and smell it burning. Said it made him think of old Kentucky when everybody burnt coal. China is a smart country to buy Kentucky coal. As far as these old hills, I'm tired of being called a hillbilly, and tired of having to climb too. I'll be glad when these old hills are gone. Never did like trees, wildflowers deers, bears, squirrels and the like unless I could eat it. Now them treehuggers wants to make sure that we don't have jobs and that we have old rotten trees that keep the sun out of here. I don't need them myself. I like flat land. I want flat land. Eastern Kentucky should have been leveled completely years ago. Blow them mountains down boys. Blow them mountains down.
