Byron woman accused of exploiting elderly woman through car purchase

Alicia Garbiella Ferguson, 27, allegedly used the finances of a Warner Robins woman to buy her a car but then Ferguson registered the car under her own name and kept it for herself, the indictment stated.

Former Fort Valley Mayor Paul Reehling dies

Former Fort Valley Mayor Paul Reehling, who helped shepherd the city through damage from a massive tornado in 1975, died Monday at age 81. Reehling’s daughter, Rosemary, said her father had been suffering from kidney failure for the past couple of months.
