Weatherford man jailed after Shetland pony euthanized

A 34-year-old Weatherford man was in the Parker County Jail Thursday night facing a charge of cruelty to livestock after a Shetland pony was found on his property, lying on its back and tangled in a 20-foot rope, the Parker County Sheriff's Department reported.
