A tractor trailer hauling frozen dinners overturned early Tuesday morning in Bellevue closing an exit ramp of Interstate 40 west. According to police on scene, the driver pulled over at the McCrory Lane exit around 5 a.m. because he had been driving for 10 hours.

Italian eatery opening soon at Jupiter's Harbourside

HARBOURSIDE PLACE, the controversial hotel and entertainment complex perched on Jupiter's Intracoastal Waterway, will welcome a sprawling, upscale-casual Italian restaurant in less than three weeks, according to a publicist for the eatery. Bravo Cucina Italiana , a 7,098-square-foot restaurant serving a wide-ranging menu, is set to open Oct. 2. It is a sister eatery in the Ohio-based restaurant chain that owns Brio Tuscan Grille , which operates three locations in Palm Beach County.

Man sentenced to 6 life sentences

The suspect in custody after a man was killed and a woman was shot and hit by a car in Boynton Beach in early July will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Serge Alexander Motti, 58, was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the case.

Wellington couple charged in juvy drinking party

A Wellington husband and wife were arrested early Sunday morning after paramedics were called to their home because a 17-year-old girl was found unconscious from alcohol poisoning, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue paramedics transported the girl, who passed out to Wellington Regional Medical Center for alcohol poisoning.

The retrial of Wellington polo mogul John Goodman on a DUI manslaughter charge will be heard by a jury chosen outside of Palm Beach County. Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath decided last week that jurors will be chosen beginning Oct. 6 in either Tampa or Jacksonville.

2 Belmont students to compete in Miss America pageant

Belmont University will be the only college in the United States to have two current students competing in the Miss America pageant. Senior Haley Lewis, who was crowned Miss Tennessee on June 21, and junior Megan Swanson, who was crowned Miss Nebraska earlier this summer, will both be competing.

High-deductible plans and wellness programs keep health care costs low

Employers' move to high-deductible health plans and greater use of generic drugs and wellness programs are limiting increases in health care costs, with no sign that premiums will surge in the near future. In 2014, group health plan premiums for family coverage increased 3% to an average of $16,834 per employee, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey of more than 2,000 employers released last week.

Second Harvest Food Bank hosts star-studded benefit

Several hundred people came out to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee Saturday night for the "Nashville and Friends at Home" benefit. The TV pilot for the hit ABC show "Nashville" was shot at the home, as well as several scenes from the first season as the home of Rayna Jaymes and Teddy Conrad.

Homeowner shoots man after assault at his home

Police told News 2 the incident started when the victim, Joshua Dobson, got into an argument over the phone with his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, 29-year-old Michael Young. Authorities said Dobson warned Young not to come to his home, but he showed up anyway with a man named Troy Weiss.

Child porn arrest leads to shocking find

Detectives found 50 dead cats in four freezers at the home of a South Florida man while serving a warrant for child pornography. Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials say they went to the home of 55-year-old Douglas Westcott on Wednesday to arrest him on three counts of child porn.
