Oswego County Plans More EEE Spraying

Health department director Jiancheng Huang says they will spray the Big Bay/Toad Harbor area for the second time this season Saturday beginning at 7pm because the swampy area has a high concentration of mosquitoes and it's important to keep them out of the surrounding communities as much as possible.

Oswego man, woman charged with welfare fraud for failing to report income, police say

Robert L. Calderone, 32, and Jessica L. Jackemuk, 29, both of 182 East Ninth St. in Oswego, were arrested Tuesday at 9:50 a.m. Police charged them with the felonies third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny, after determining that Calderone had failed to report all of his income in 2012.

State comptroller warns school districts to do more to protect access to sensitive student data
