Curbside recycling off to a good start

Posted on Tuesday, November 03, 2009 at 5:43 p.m. After picking up trash and recyclables at the first 2,500 homes Monday, Allied Waste services reported a 45 percent reduction in the amount of refuse going to the landfill.

Mo. youth hunters kill more than 13,000 deer in 2-day season, second highest total

Missouri's young hunters have killed more than 13,000 deer this year. The Missouri Department of Conservation says that's the second-highest total for youth hunters during a two-day season that ended Sunday.
