Prosecutors Seek To Re-Charge Mankato Father
Prosecutors in southern Minnesota want charges reinstated for a Mankato man who had been accused of injuring his baby boy shortly after he was separated from his conjoined twin.
An Olmsted County judge had dismissed a first-degree assault charge against 28-year-old Robert Lee Heck. The judge said there wasn't enough evidence for the charge.
The Minnesota Court of Appeals will hear the case July 15.
Doctors at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester discovered that 2-month-old Jordan James had multiple broken bones on his legs, arms and ribs. It happened after Jordan had been released from the Mayo Clinic where he was separated from his twin brother Jacob.
