Less than a year into its new existence as Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital, Mason County's sole hospital has announced another noteworthy change officials said will improve primary care access among area residents.

Man pleads guilty to 'ghost tows' in Oceana County

According to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office, a 'ghost tow' is where the suspect places a fake call to AAA for a tow, then AAA gets the request and sends it to the local AAA facility, where Rosse's company would collect the call and not send out the truck.

Doctors' offices unify with goals of ensuring patient care

Two of Oceana County's family practice offices have united under the banner of Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital, effective July 1. Allan Nelson, MD, has reached agreement with the hospital for his Pentwater Family Practice to become part of Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.

Volunteer at Electric Forest music festival passes away

Brian Alan Brockette was a volunteer for an outside vender at the Electric Forest Festival when he suffered a medical emergency around 11:15 pm, June 29. The Michigan State Police Hart Post and the Oceana County Medical Examiner's Office are waiting for results of an autopsy conducted on Brockette.
