Nye hiring architects for Pahrump jail

A 225-bed Pahrump jail could be built at the existing jail site on East Basin Avenue at a cost of about $22 million, to be paid off using $1.9 million in annual interest from the county endowment funds, consultant Ira Cotler, of Correctional Finance and Consulting Solutions told Nye County Commissioners Tuesday.
