The Charlottesville office of the Virginia Employment Commission is trying something different in Nelson and the surrounding counties to help unemployed people re-enter the workforce.

The 2009 James River Batteau Festival concluded at Maiden's Landing near Richmond last weekend, after beginning at Percival's Landing in Lynchburg the week before.
