JACOBS: Hot enough for you?

This heat we've been experiencing lately reminds me of the summer of 2000. I was living in Austin at the time, and we went through a couple of months with one of these high pressure thingys which turned Central Texas into a pressure cooker and all the people and animals into wilted carrots and shriveled peas.

County to receive mobile medical unit

Navarro County Commissioners on Monday authorized an inter-local agreement with the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council to receive a mobile medical unit valued at about $750,000. The six-trailer unit, consisting of two triage/treatment buildings and a mobile command unit, plus mobile electric generators to power the facility.
