Dalton man arrested for robbery in Chatsworth

A Dalton man who robbed a woman of her bank deposit bag Monday afternoon in Chatsworth was apprehended soon after by officers with the Chatsworth Police Department and Murray County Sheriff's Office, officials said.

United Way turns down stimulus funds

Around $500,000 in federal economic stimulus funds are available to the United Way of Northwest Georgia to meet needs in Whitfield and Murray counties, but on Thursday the agency's board of directors voted not to accept the money because of some of the requirements that go along with it.
