Yes you could have. Although I was wondering all along why the worry. Everyone was saying "It's like the real flu, but worse." Now I can see what they were talking about.

Yeh this crap has left me with some permanent damage. Not much but enough to make a difference. I went monday for my checkup, got on the treadmill, done good but I can tell the difference. This stuff is WAYYYYY bad!! The docs talking about doing an biopsy now and from what understand that's an open chest biopsy where they take a big chuck of the wind bags out...uh...no not gonna happen lol They can have my lungs after I die but for now they gotta fight me for em lol

Seriously tho anyone who reads this needs to be serious about this stuff, if you get sick go get it taken care of because when your doctors sits down on your bed and tells you he has done all he can and asks you who they need to call if things go bad.....its too late. I got lucky and maybe I need to think about that..someone was looking out for me. My doctor told me today that currently 3 in 5 who have what I had die within 24 hrs

Good news is I done 15 mins today on the treadmill at a fast pace (same pace we use for our US forest service work capacity test) Id give my self a 80 on it. Went from 256 lbs to 232 :) working on 200 so I guess being sick has its advantages but boy what a way to loose weight!! Pardon my french but its one hell of a diet !

I really hope no one else get this stuff that bad. I hope posting the info on it will help people realize its no joke. Like that funny saying goes nuttin wakes you up like death does. All this stuff scared me, not because I was thinking I would or could have died but thinking who I was going to leave behind. I got 3 lil ones and I plan on sticking around for them.

but when it does happen...just prop me up by the jukebox when I die :)

It is amazing how the media is downplaying this. Organ damage is also the cause of death in many cases.

Downplaying it? Where have you been? Good god its on the news every single day.

Not to mention the overwhelming attention it got for the first few months we were told about it. It has had more T.V. coverage than the death of Michael Jackson.

What were you symptons? I feel something funny when I take deep breaths...sounds like a little motor in my lung. Or a small whizzing sound. Slight cough. Is this a sympton? Have not called my doctor yet but will do today. Have been feeling very tired lately. No aches and pain....

Well I started out with flu so keep that in mind..considering that I had the aches and pains that comes with the flu but as for the lung problems it started with a heavy feeling in my chest, unable to get a full breath, I did have the wheezing sound and after about 12 hours it became nearly impossible for me to walk over 30 ft without having to sit down and try to catch my breath.

My advice is don't risk it, just go to the doctor, even if its something small you don't want to risk it like I did. If it is something bad...waiting could be the worst thing you ever done and its better to be safe than sorry...trust me!

Obama declares swine flu a national emergency

Well its about time. Now perhaps he can declare our health care system a National Emergency. What is it that takes these white house fruit cakes so long to get things done?

I haven't done enough research on the shot to offer advice on it. I have heard the rumors but the best thing is research it then make your decision. I don't know why our school system didn't shut down during this time all other schools did. It makes it look like our school board just don't care about the kids. I know education is important but so is our kids health.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
