New deal puts Walsh Duffield into Rochester market

Insurance agency Walsh Duffield Co. Inc. is expanding to Rochester with the partial acquisition of the Stuart G. Smith Agency LLC. Buffalo-based Walsh Duffield announced this afternoon that it now owns 50 percent of the Brighton agency, which has been renamed Walsh Quinn Agency LLC. Terms of the deal, which closed June 30, were not disclosed.
