Designers needed for Couture tower, Lincoln Memorial bridge lakefront plaza

This competition is set as part of the Milwaukee downtown lakefront infrastructure revitalization plan, with a coast exceeding the $ 34 million mark. The project could include rebuilding the two-acre site adjacent to the new Couture tower and Discovery World building along the shores of lake Michigan closer to summer-fest grounds.

When Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker rode into Madison on the 2010 GOP election wave, he used a giant, scary number to justify the hole he ripped in the fabric of our state: $3,600,000,000. I-94 eastbound traffic reopened after reports of 'suspicious package'

Traffic on I-94 eastbound through the Zoo Interchange was temporarily shut down Monday afternoon due to reports of a "suspicious package", according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. Milwaukee Police say they received a call shortly after 1:00 p.m. that a suspicious item was located on the sidewalk on the 92nd Street bridge, which runs over I-94.

The investigation into Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is led by a Republican special prosecutor, was unanimously approved by Wisconsin's nonpartisan Government Accountability Board, and includes the participation of elected county District Attorneys from both political parties. But according to an outlet bankrolled by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the motivation for the "John Doe" probe can be traced back to a "weeping" teacher's union member married to Milwaukee County's District Attorney, John Chisholm.

Homeward Bound Adoption Event

MADACC will be hosting their "Homeward Bound" dog adoption events each Saturday, June through September, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each year MADACC takes in thousands of stray and abandoned dogs, and in 2013, 45% of those dogs were pit bull terriers or pit bull mixes. In honor of those 45%, MADACC will offer a discounted adoption fee of $45 for pit bull terriers and mixes adopted June through October.
