Menomonee River drowning victim was from Milwaukee

A Milwaukee boy who drowned in the Menomonee River in Hoyte Park in Wauwatosa was identified by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office on Monday as Van Sang Vanmauipial, 14. Sheriff's deputies responded shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday, when the boy, who went swimming in the river with friends, did not resurface, according to a news release.
