Sanford-area residents should prepare to evacuate if flooding occurs

The flood gates at the Sanford Dam are fully open and Sanford Lake water levels continue to rise, causing concerns for the areas of Sanford Lake, the Village of Sanford and the areas south of the dam, which may encounter significant flooding, Midland County authorities report.
