Woman killed by train

A Bloomington woman was hit and killed by a train Monday near Wenona. A railroad surveyor found Emily K. Valluri dead shortly before noon near the tracks about two miles south of Wenona along the line between La Salle and Marshall counties.

Just a few minutes ago...a nearly day long search ended in Marshall County. An inmate escaped from the jail Saturday night but was found just before 5:30 this evening after receiving a tip that he was hiding in a garage just north of he jail.
