A Montello man is dead after being injured while loading firewood. Emergency responders found Joseph W. Dedrick, 72, lying in a wooded area when they arrived at W4813 Gem Ave., Montello, at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Two jailed after Waushara County armed robbery

Two men were jailed Wednesday after an armed robbery at a business here. Waushara County Sheriff David Peterson said a business west of here, adjacent to the State 73 interchange, was robbed about 8:50 p.m. He said a weapon was displayed and a suspect fled the area with an undetermined amount of cash.
