The Mississippi Department of Transportation has lowered the weight limit on the Harper's Creek Bridge on Mississippi 35 in Marion County to 10,000 lbs.

Marion County authorities have arrested six people for stealing railroad parts. They have been charged with grand larceny after investigators said they stole about 4,000 railroad anchors which were being used as replacement parts on the tracks near White Bluff.
