Man Charged With Attempted 1st-Degree Murder After Shooting Wife in Head

A Loudon County man is charged with attempted first degree murder after his wife showed up at a hospital with a bullet in her head. Faye Brown, 54, showed up at the Fort Sanders-Loudon Hospital's emergency room just before 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning with what Loudon County Deputies call a graze wound to her head. She told deputies her husband, Michael Brown, 48, had shot her during an argument. Officers say the shooting happened at the couple's home at 14420 Beals Chapel Road in Lenoir City, and that Michael Brown admitted to shooting his wife when questioned.
