2.0 Earthquake Strikes Loudon & Monroe Counties

The U.S. Geological Survey confirms that a small earthquake, registered as 2.0 in magnitude, struck part of East Tennessee early Sunday morning. Its epicenter was recorded about six miles southeast of Philadelphia in a field along Loudon Road. The quake occurred in a fault 9.9 miles below the surface.
