A Southern California developer is under investigation for allegedly tapping his firm's attorneys and using his daughters to launder illegal campaign contributions to Los Angeles County Assessor John Noguez.

A man was shot and killed Tuesday morning and his body was found in the driveway of a construction company, officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
