You can't torture someone calling them derogatory racial names and say there is no root in racism to the crime. One person out of that evil group had a relationship. I'm sure, that the rest of his white family wasn't too cool with thier white child dating a mentally disabled black girl. Its sick. I don't care if drugs were involved. This girl was mentally challenged, taken advantage of, abused and tortured in ways unimaginable, and anybody that would want to sugar coat that and write it off to drugs is just as sick and demented as the abusers. That remark sounds typical of some stupid white hillbilly. Ugh!

Just wait a moment.....the reputation this area has on racism...what is the differnce in a black person calling a white person a 'cracker' and a white calling the black the 'not so friendly word we've all been tought not to say' to the black. ITS STILL RACISM toward the white people if I can say so. I don't agree with what that family did to that girl....in no means....but I don't think it had to do with the fact she was black. I think she crossed the wrong path of one of them and then they couldn't stop before she was dead. Luckily she was found alive. But all this about a black hate crime....it was a hate crime against her, not just because of her color. And if she was so afraid of them and the area, why has she returned since. She has some connection there and she can't stay away. Once the media was clear and over her dramatic, terrible experience, and moved on, she was back in the same area, with the white folk! This sort of stuff happens to white people all the time by blacks and even whites, do we get to go on Montel and Oprah. Do we get a college tuition paid for in advance and a lump of money to spend. No......think about it. Think about the children everyday that is tortured by their own parents, do they get anything special for the abuse they suffer....no.....but let a white torture a black and the whole NAACP gets involved for support. Where is the white support....? Thats right...we have none!

For starters I am white and what they did to this girl was uncalled for...I do agree everyone should be took care of who are tortured...But it dont work that way...Not for the white or the blacks...This was a isolated case that had attention called to it and she happened to be one of the few that gets anything for what she went through and she deserves everything they give her...Why would you complain about that...And if she has been back in this area so what...Not everyone oround here is low life scum like those people...And I believe one of the reasons attention was called to this situation so much it was bad enough that she was a black woman tortured the way she was but she is also mentally challenged...You really got issues...I can appreciate what they have done for her and only pray more people would be so caring unlike you...You must be a Big Creeker...You want to justify this...I got news for you...There is no justifying what happened to her...One more thing back a few years back when we went into Iraq and saved our girl from there she got awards for being a hero...Was she a hero...No she was a a prisoner that was tortured when she came home they gave her cars and degrees to collage...The real heros was the ones who saved her...She would have died without them...Ok this is the same thing...It had nothing to do with race or anything...Both tortured one white one black one tortued here in our own country the other tortured somewhere else either way they both deserved to recieve what they did...And I am happy for them both...So get over it...Not matter who they are where they are from if they went through something tramatic and people wanna reach out to help them recover and to build thier lives back its wonderful...But cold hearted a**holes like you would never consider giving anyone that kind of break would you?...You would rather complain someone did do something...No worries it didnt come out of your pocket...Heaven forbid someone use your money for good

Secondly: I have experienced blatant racism from 'blacks' as you like to call them, in the south.(the real south, not this made up one you people claim to live in) However, I also found out that its usually a front. They expect white people to be racist, so they are racist 'first'. To keep from getting hurt, they don't let their guard down. Can you blame them? Our ancestors came over by choice. Theirs came by force. You dumb hillbillies say send em back, but your IDIOT FAMILIES TORTURED THEIR FAMILIES AND MADE THEM COME, go dig up your great great great great grandpa and slap him for it!
Third: I have lived in these hills all my life, I have also spent time living in the city (mid-west), and have spent some time down south. I never encountered racist issues while in the city. Not that they didn't exist I suppose, however it wasn't that big of a deal. In the south, a lot of people are still mentally segregated.
Fourth: Yes, they do have the same opportunities, no one said they didn't. I think its a good thing. This is AMERICA where we are all FREE, not just the white folks (as some of you would prefer). What makes you think white people are any better than black people just because you are white? Thats moronic.
Lastly: YES, I love black people (sorry but negro? really?). NO, I am not LIBERAL, I am actually very CONSERVATIVE and REPUBLICAN. Call me what you want, but I hate racism, I hate IGNORANCE, and on the subject....if calling a black woman a "NGR" isn't racist, I don't know what is. Nowhere in the news did I see where she called anybody a cracker. WHY would YOU take up for those IDIOTS??????????
