As wild pet ban dies, state declares exotic animal amnesty

Legislation that would have banned a long list of wild and potentially dangerous animals as pets has failed in the General Assembly this year because lawmakers from Litchfield County want to protect a family-owned farm that has several elephants.

Another nail on the Freedom coffin if this were to pass.
The government has no right to legislate this. Telling us what we can or can't own is not their job. Their job is to fulfill the will of the majority not to take it upon themselves to control our daily life.

A wild animal, 6 x the strength of humans, that is unpredictable and has a nasty habit of ripping people's faces off for no apparent reason, yea I think that can be regulated by the government. Moron.

I agree with Gregg Dancho....this is an issue that needs to be addressed, refining the bill should be a priority to get it passed
