Fire destroys Denver home, owners unhurt

The Denver Fire Department, with assistance from Pumpkin Center Fire Department, Alexis Fire Department, East Lincoln Fire Department and Sherrill's Ford-Terrell Fire-Rescue, spent the better portion of Wednesday morning responding to a fire at 5100 Mary Elizabeth Lane in Denver.

Criminal Charges 7-11-14

The Lincolnton Police Department reported the following arrests: Karen Stephanie Lowman, 25, of 2331 Dellinger Drive in Newton was charged July 8 with one count each misdemeanor simple assault and communicating threats and two counts misdemeanor assault on a child under 12. A $3,000 secured bond was set.
