James Kevin Myers, 21, who authorities identified as a resident of a group home in Ennis, was in the Limestone County Jail Monday afternoon after a high-speed chase earlier in the day through three Central Texas counties that ended in gunfire on the campus of the Mexia State School.

Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson says jail inmate Kevin Lee Dabney, 21, ran from a work crew around 11 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 422 south of the Shiloh community.
