Toomer found guilty by Dougherty jury
The jury started deliberations in Kasaem Toomer's trial about 2:00 Thursday afternoon and ended about three hours later.
The jury was picked, and testimony will begin tomorrow. Before his trial began, 21-year-old Kaseem Toomer pleaded guilty to an arson charge for setting a fire in the Albany Police Interview Room shortly after his arrest.
Kasaem Toomer will stand trial for the murder of 19 year old Justin Cox. Cox' body was found in the Flint River water near the Turner Boat Landing in October 2007.
