The ASPCA today announced that it will offer a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case of a deceased cat discovered inside a cooler with a rope tied around its neck on September 2 in Lee County, Fla. According to Lee County Domestic Animal Services, which is leading the investigation, the female gray and white tabby was discovered by a resident on the side of the road on Elva Avenue in Lehigh Acres.

Donald Gingell left his residence located on the 10000 block of Oxbow Rd. at approximately 9:30 a.m. today to deliver newspapers to St. Vincent de Paul Church on Palm Beach Blvd. When his wife called him at 11:30 a.m., she says Gingell became upset and hung up the phone.
