Federal officials are investigating a deadly grain elevator accident in Lane County.

An accident at a grain elevator has taken the life of a western Kansas man. Lane County authorities say 59-year-old Dwayne Seifried of Dighton became trapped under milo Thursday morning at the Garden City Co-op satellite elevator in Amy, where he worked.

American Energy Resources, an established industry player in the mid-continent region for oil and gas exploration and drilling, announced it has discovered a secondary significant oil reserve in Lane County, Kansas.

An oil well drilled in Lane County in western Kansas is expected to produce more than 200 barrels per day, American Energy Resources said today.
