La Salle County ROE to combine with Marshall, Putnam counties

Streator man charged with illegal gambling
A Streator man was indicted Tuesday afternoon on 21 gambling charges. Larry Rizzo, 43, was charged with 18 felony counts of possession of a device for the remittance of credits and one misdemeanor count each of possessing betting books, selling betting pools and of keeping a gambling place.

La Salle lawyer dies when car hits house
A La Salle lawyer died after his car hit a house Sunday in Utica. Stephen G. Terrando, 66, was driving when his car went off the road about 1:40 p.m. and hit a house at 2888 E. 777th Road.
