Updates: 8 arrested in Hanford parole sweep

The Hanford Problem Orientated Policing Team and other public safety agencies in Kings County searched 27 houses between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Officers conducted the search as a result of an increase in gang activity on the east side of Hanford, two shootings and safety concerns from the public, the department said.
