A judge denies Eric Williams' attorneys' request to delay his trial for murder, saying the defense had enough time to prepare. Williams' lawyers filed a 14-page motion for continuance so they could review all of the evidence for his defense.

FBI, other agencies spent morning searching home of accused killer of Kaufman County DA

Katherine Chaumont, an FBI spokesperson, would only say that the Dallas-based evidence response team was assisting the Kaufman County Sheriff's Department in the search; agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Texas Rangers were also on the scene, some armed with shovels and picks. The Kaufman County Sheriff's Department would only confirm a search is taking place.
