Warrant: More charges possible for former Kanabec County sheriff

More charges could be filed against the former sheriff of Kanabec County. Last year, Von Thompson was charged with four felonies for allegedly swindling a 90-year-old man out of nearly $180,000. Now, it appears there could be more victims according to a search warrant filed this week in Hennepin County.
