A tornado touched down in Van Horne last night, damaging a large hog confinement building and machine sheds but sparing two farmhouses, said Scott Hansen, Benton County Emergency Management coordinator.

Only two homes suffered structural damage from the flooding, although 30 homes were affected, said Brenda Leonard, emergency management coordinator for Jones County.
