Topeka under t-storm warning

Northern Shawnee County and southern Jackson County are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:15 p.m. The National Weather Service office in Topeka issued the warning at 3:37 p.m., saying Doppler radar indicated a storm system capable of producing quarter-size hail 17 miles northwest of Topeka moving east at 35 mph.

Human skeletal remains identified

The FBI concluded the human skeletal remains found earlier this month near the Tuttle Creek Spillway are that of The FBI concluded that the remains were that of Michael Leo Harris of Holton, who had been missing since November 6, 2004.
