Michigan briefs: Dairy farms ordered to pay fine for polluting

An Ingham County judge has ordered the owners of two dairy farms in southern Michigan to pay $223,500 by May 18 as penalty for failing to fully resolve pollution complaints, Department of Environmental Quality Director Steve Chester said Monday.
