Conflicting interests clash over S.D. lakes
Above and below South Dakota lies water - groundwater trapped in sandy, rocky deposits below the prairie and surface water that fills the state's lakes, creeks, streams and rivers.
Action Slated On Lake Poinsett Water Issue
The South Dakota Water Management Board is scheduled to decide July 9 whether to allow Big Sioux River water into Lake Poinsett in southern Hamlin County.
