GCSD Confirms Homemade Explosive Device Found South of Lyons

Newsbarb - Greene County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Major Mike Hasler has confirmed that a homemade explosive device was found on County Road 300 South between County Roads 500 West and 600 West on Monday morning.

Man Dies After Crashing Truck Near Linton

According to police, Farquer was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger westbound on County Road 450 South, east of State Road 59 south, when the accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Harvey Holt says Farquer swerved hard to the left for an unknown reason and the vehicle left the south side of the roadway.

Bloomfield Man Injured In Crash

A Bloomfield man suffered head lacerations following a one-car crash on State Road 48 west of County Road 900W Thursday afternoon around 1:35 p.m. According to an Indiana State Police report, 32-year-old Justin Hash was driving his 1999 Infiniti SUV eastbound on SR 48 when he became distracted and ran off the south side of the highway.

DOCS: Man kills husband, rapes wife in Greene County incident

A Greene County man wanted by Indiana State Police for questioning in a July 18 murder rape case will have charges filed against him July 28. Court documents state Jason Lee Caldwell, 33 of Solsberry, killed David Lamm with a .223 rifle and bound and raped Lamm's wife.
