Female motorcyclist dies in Sunday crash in Green County

A 41-year-old rural Belleville woman died Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash. Green County Sheriff chief deputy Jeff Skatrud said that Elaine M. Graber had been driving a 2004 Harley-Davidson east on Highway C near Puddledock Road in the town of Adams when she lost control while turning.

Cows stolen from Green County farmer

The Green County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case of cattle rustling. Just after 7:30 a.m., a farmer in the town of Washington called the Sheriff's Office to report that seven Holsteins were taken from W5800 area of Center Road, located just west of Highway 69 between Monroe and Monticello.
