Grant County resident receives serious injuries when motorcycle is run off the road

According to New Mexico State Police Sgt. Scott Merrill, a motorcycle and its operator were involved in a crash on U.S. Highway 180 between mile markers 24 and 25 near Hurley at 12:40 p.m., on Wednesday, July 23. The motorcyclist, whose identity was ascertained from unofficial sources, is Don White Jr. of Grant County.

On Friday, July 18, at about 7 p.m., Grant County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to 44 Jack Rabbit Lane in Arenas Valley in reference to a welfare check on 72-year-old Theresa Gunnelson.

Man arrested for home invasion in Silver City

SILVER CITY >>Jeff Rivers, 31, was arrested Thursday for aggravated burglary, larceny, false imprisonment and one count of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, according to a police report.
